So we’re building a brewery…

For those that haven’t been following our progress via social media, I wanted to take a moment to catch you up on what you’ve missed over the last 6+ months.

Late last summer we moved into one of the historic “Stockhouses” at the Ludlow Mills facility in Ludlow Massachusetts, along the Chicopee River.

I remember our first day in the Stockhouse like it was yesterday. Everything was so… WHITE!

The deconstruction was a blast.

In addition to removing all the existing walls, we decided to power wash the brick wall in what will eventually be the tasting room.

While the boss found a way to make it look easy, power washing and re-grouting the wall took close to a month.

A fresh coat of paint on the walls and the beams really helped to bring this 100 year old Stockhouse back to life…

Then came the underground plumbing…

little over a month later the concrete was set and we were ready to start building…

As of last weekend, the framing for all the walls is done and we’ll be moving onto the electrical and plumbing over the next couple of weeks.

So while we still have a few months of work to go, we’ve come a long way from that white “office space” we moved into last August.

I almost forgot, we already got that pesky licensing thing out of the way. ☺
